Andrew and Jessica have had an epic time at the FBLA National Conference in Chicago. We’ve loved the enthusiasm shown by both the student competitors and their advisors. For those who attended our Tuesday or Wednesday workshop, “How to Invest Like LeBron James,” we promised you the slides, and we’re delivering here. The live polling is closed, but you could set up your own poll for free (like we did), using Poll Everywhere (not an official endorsement — just the service we used).
As a sample of what else we offer, Tim maintains a blog full of current events, classroom activity ideas, interesting news articles or videos, etc. He recently posted, keeping with our LeBron theme, about NBA stars and investment strategies.
Here’s a quick link to the investment unit on our website; the asset allocation video we showed during the workshop is in Lesson 7.5 Investment Strategies.
And finally, one of the most-asked question post-workshop was the difference between mutual and index funds. Here’s a video from our stock investing lesson that clears up that concept.
FBLA Nationals, we’re loving your vibe and your energy. Keep up the good work, and best of luck to all the competitors!
When I started working at Next Gen Personal Finance, it's as though my undergraduate degree in finance, followed by ten years as an educator in an NYC public high school, suddenly all made sense.
