Today, NGPF is proud to announce that we’ve been accepted as a partner of the national Jump$tart Coalition. Jump$tart is a national organization “of organizations that share a common interest in supporting financial literacy, through financial education, for our nation’s youth.”
We’re incredibly honored to join the current group of 132 partners so committed to improving the financial literacy of America’s youth and empowering teachers by connecting them to fantastic resources, like-minded individuals and educational professional development.
You can see the full list of Jump$tart national partners here.
Also, if you’re looking for great FinLit material for your classroom, we recommend you check out the Jump$tart Clearinghouse, a fantastic repository of over 800 high-quality, peer-reviewed resources.
Finally, we’ll be attending the 2015 Jump$tart National Educator Conference in National Harbor, MD on Nov. 6-8. It’s an amazing event that brings together hundreds of personal finance educators from around the country for a chance to network, develop professionally and share best practices.
Andrew comes from a family of educators, and joined Teach for America after graduating from UCLA with a degree in English. During his three years teaching Social Studies, in both rural Arkansas and urban San Francisco, he realized the potential of online tools to amplify the reach and impact of learning for teachers and students. Andrew joined NGPF in 2014, bringing his educational expertise to designing lessons while learning on the job how to manage his own finances (which comes in handy in San Francisco, where the crazy rent means budgets are always tight).
